A full knockdown rebuild of a derelict cottage in Clovelly on a very narrow but long block. The existing single-storey two-bedroom house had a huge backyard and rear lane access, making it an ideal candidate for transformation.
The project converts the cottage into a two-storey home with a garage and studio above, becoming a four-bedroom residence. The narrow frontage and rear lane access create both the challenge and the opportunity, requiring careful planning for access, materials handling and construction methodology on a tight site.
Working closely with an interior designer, the finished home will be an amazing transformation from a run-down cottage to a substantial family residence that maximises every metre of the block.
