How much does a home extension cost in Sydney?
It depends on the size, whether you’re going up or out, and the level of finish. A second storey costs more than a ground-floor extension because of the structural work involved. We give you a clear, itemised quote after seeing the home.
Do I need council approval for an extension?
Usually, yes, either a DA or the faster CDC pathway where the work qualifies. We don’t lodge the approvals ourselves, but we’ll point you to a trusted architect, draftsman or designer to handle that side, then we take care of the build.
Can I live in the house during the extension?
Often yes, especially for a rear or ground-floor extension. Second-storey work is more disruptive, so we plan the staging so you’re only out when you need to be.
Can you add a second storey to my house?
In most cases yes, subject to the existing structure and council controls. We check the feasibility early and design the addition to suit the home.
How long does an extension take?
